Built 1889 it is an excellent example of the fine bank buildings which the Commercial Banking Company (CBC) built in many New South Wales towns.
A fine two storey stuccoed Classic Revival banking chamber with residence attached. A slightly projecting central entrance to the banking chamber with verandah decorated with cast iron panels and supported by the entrance and four fluted tapered cast iron columns. On stuccoed brick bases. Entrance is further marked by a small central gabled roof.
It hasn't been a bank for many years. It has had a number of uses, accommodation in particular. Presently the bank building is a Real Estate Agency, with accommodation in the restored stables at the rear.
