Chartered around 1906, the
Elks of Butte continue to meet in their lodge building, constructed in 1924. Built of brick with stone trim the Elks Lodge is a fairly large three story building, somewhat Neo-Classical in style. The building has heavy stone window frames around all second story windows, thick stone lintels with pronounced keystones on the third floor and stone beltlines between each floor and another at the cornice. The lower floor was given a different treatment of multicolored tile covering its exterior. A large, flat canopy covers the entrance on Galena Street.
