1983 entwarf der Bildhauer Helmut Lander eine stählerne, abstarkte Skulptur, die mehrere menschliche, teils bewegliche Köpfe sowie ein Glockenspiel mit 18 Glocken beinhaltet. Wurde das Glockenspiel gespielt, bewegten sich die oberen Köpfe zur Musik. Hergestellt wurde das Kundwerk von der Firma Anthes & Gebhardt in Ober-Ramstadt. Die Stadt Meckenheim ließ es in der Fußgängerzone am Neuen Markt, nahe der Fußgängerbrücke zum Schul- und Sportzentrum, aufstellten und ist seitdem für die Pflege und den Betrieb verantwortlich.

Leider funktioniert inzwischen die Mechanik, die für die Bewegung der Köpfe sorgt, nicht mehr, und die Stadt Meckenheim will diese laut Zeitungsartikeln aktuell nicht reparieren lassen. Die Glocken hingegen funktionieren noch einwandfrei und werden in unregelmäßigen Abständen gespielt.
In 1983, the sculptor Helmut Lander designed a steel, abstract sculpture, which included several human, partly mobile heads as well as a carillon with 18 bells. When the carillon was played, the upper heads moved to the music. It was manufactured by the company Anthes & Gebhardt in Ober-Ramstadt. The city of Meckenheim set it up in the pedestrian zone "Neuer Markt", near the pedestrian bridge to the school and sports center, and has been responsible for the care and operation since then.

Unfortunately, by now the mechanics, which provides for the movement of the heads, no longer works. According to news articles, the city of Meckenheim is not planning to repair it currently. The bells, on the other hand, still function properly and are played at irregular intervals.
