Information from plaque.

This one lane bridge was built by Austin Bridge Company of Dallas. The bridge replaced Hickley's Ferry.

In 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation deemed the bridge unsafe and began the process to have the bridge replaced.

The County contacted the City of Nacogdoches to partner in preserving the bridge by moving it to Pecan Park where it has been restored as a foot bridge.
