Beschreibung der "Genese"
Die Skulptur "Genese" wurde aus 1.700 kg Bronze, 3.000 kg Waldviertler Granit und 700 kg Stahl geschaffen. Schon der Name des Werkes bezieht sich auf das Thema des Entstehens, des Werdens von Kosmos, Welt und Natur. Das Ineinander und Verschränkende der organisch-kristallinen Formen – als Symbol des Männlichen und Weiblichen – deutet in der Mitte eine Ei-Form als Urzelle des Lebens an. Die in einem komplexen Bronzegießverfahren gearbeitete Plastik weist in ihrer Oberflächengestaltung ebenfalls auf das Moment der Schöpfung, des Ursprungs hin. Mit der sich langsam um ihre eigene Achse drehenden Plastik wird das unablässige Werden des Lebens, der Welt und des Kosmos signalisiert.
Prof. Richard Agreiter, 1941 in Südböhmen geboren, übersiedelt mit seinen Eltern noch im Geburtsjahr nach Steinberg in Tirol. Seitdem lebt und arbeitet er dort, wo er auch sein Atelier aufgebaut hat. Natur und Mensch sind zentrale Themen seines bildhauerischen Schaffens. Rhythmik und organische Formen spielen dabei eine wesentliche gestalterische Rolle. Ebenso ist ein serielles Werkverständnis grundlegend, welches nachdrücklich den dynamischen Charakter vieler Werke prägt.

Description of "Genese" (Genesis)
The sculpture "Genese" was created from 1,700 kg of bronze, 3,000 kg of granite and 700 kg of steel. The name of the work refers to the theme of the emergence, of the cosmos, of the world and nature. The interpenetration and interlocking of the organic-crystalline forms - as a symbol of the masculine and feminine - suggests in the center an egg form as the primordial cell of life. The sculpture worked in a complex bronze casting process also points to the moment of creation, of its origin, in its surface design. With the sculpture slowly rotating around its own axis, the incessant development of life, the world and the cosmos is signaled.
Prof. Richard Agreiter, born in South Bohemia in 1941, moved with his parents to Steinberg in Tyrol in the year of his birth. Since then, he has lived and worked there, where he also built his studio. Nature and man are central themes of his sculptural works. Rhythmics and organic forms play an essential creative role. Likewise, a serial understanding of work is fundamental, which emphatically characterizes the dynamic character of many works.
