[PT] Avião birreactor, trem de aterragem triciclo retráctil, bilugar lado-a-lado, cadeiras ejectáveis. Em 1955 a Força Aérea dos Estados Unidos aprovou esta aeronave para instrução básica de pilotagem Em 1962, apareceu a ultima versão desta aeronave, a T-37C, um modelo adaptado a usar armamento. Foi utilizado na Guerra do Vietname, como avião de apoio próximo, designado por A-37 Dragonfly. Emprego na Força Aérea Portuguesa: Entraram ao serviço em Janeiro de 1963. Foram adquiridos 30 aviões. Foram abatidos ao serviço em 1992. Foram colocados na Base Aérea Nº 1 e equiparam a Esquadra de Instrução Básica de Pilotagem, divididos em duas Esquadrilhas: A Nº. 1, Os Feras e a Nº. 2 Os Águias. Em inicios de 1964, com vista a exibir-se num festival realizado em Alverca, foi constituida uma patrulha acrobática com este avião que mais tarde daria lugar à conhecida esquadrilha Asas de Portugal. [EN] The FAP purchased 30 T-37 in 1963 for basic pilot training. Stationed at Air Base 1, all pilots trained after 1963, are familiar with that aircraft. In 1975, an acrobatic squadron was formed with the T-37 which in 1976 started taking part in air festivals under the name of "Asas de Portugal". They were phased out in 1992, and some of them are ready to being displayed at the Air Museum.
