Le monument installé a proximité du parc de la Cathédrale,un lieu de
verdure aménagé sur un terrain ou se trouvait autrefois un centre
diocésain
LE MONUMENT EST FAIT DE GRANITE .......................
Sur les panneaux externes sont gravé le poème IN FLANDERS FIELD
du lieutenant John McCrae (voir aussi les coquelicots)
et son adaptation francaise .....AU CHAMP D`HONNEUR.
l'OEUVRE EST DEVENUE LE SYMBOLE
DU SACRIFICE DES........MILITAIRES CANADIENS
DÉCÉDÉS A LA GUERRE.
La partie centrale du monument rappelle les missions de paix des forces canadiennes en Allemagne,a Chypre,sur le plateau du Golan,
en Égypte,au liban,au Timor Oriental,au Rwanda,en Irak,en Bosnie
en Croatie, en Somalie et en Haiti. ETC...
A L'ENDOS DU MONUMENT
La face arriere du cénotaphe est ornée d`illustrations,et de poème
anglais et Français écrits par des élèves de Saint-Jérôme.
Ainsi que des photos imprégnées dans la pierres.

The monument located near the Cathedral park,a green place
on a land where was formerly a diocesan center
The monument is made of granite
On the outer panels are engraved the poem IN FLANDERS FIELD.
Of Lieutenant John McCrae,(see also the poppies)
And its French adaptation ........ IN THE FIELD OF HONOR.
The work has become the symbole
Of the sacrifice of Canadian military.........
Who died in the war.
The central part of the monument recalls the peacekeeping missions
of the Canadian forces in Germany,Cyprus,the Golan Heights,Egypt,
Lebanon,East Tomor,Rwanda, Iraq, Bosnia,Croatie,Somalie and Haiti
Etc...
Behind the monument
The back of the cenotaph is decorated with illustrations,and
English and French poems written by pupils of Saint-Jérôme .
As well as impregnated photos in the stone.
