The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Stirling is in the Lethbridge Alberta East Stake with Stirling 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wards meeting at this location. The Lethbridge Alberta East Stake was established on November 24, 1974 with 9 Wards in the district.
The church is brick with contrasting white trim. There is a free standing white spire in the front and a Canadian Flag. There are mature trees and the property is well maintained. This church building is traditional in design.
Stirling has a population of approximately 1,000 residents and this LDS church is the only one in the community. It is interesting to note that members of the Mormon Church were "Called to do the Lord's work" in 1898 and relocated to the area to build the canal.
