This church has an interesting free standing, two column spire near the entrance. Though we have seen at least one other in Canada, this seems to be an older style.
The church has a two story sanctuary facing the front. The building is constructed of red brick and is "L" shaped with the extension containing offices and counseling rooms.
Pincher Creek has a population of approximately of 3,650 residents and there is only one LDS church in the community.
Pincher Creek with its sprawling prairies and rolling foothills made it ideal for cattle ranching and a common sight of cowboys riding the range on horseback. There are pinchers displayed throughout the town and even on their welcome sign. A pincher is actually a horse hoof nipper commonly used by ranchers and farriers.
