From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.5 miles. Turn left onto George McAllister Road, FR2060, and continue about 2.8 miles to the intersection with FR2060-500. Turn left, proceed about 0.3 miles, turn right onto FR2060-540 and continue about 0.9 miles to the corner on the left.

Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present corner bears S1.3°E from T14S R9E S17 16 1/4 COR, WAYPOINT WMWE0X, 2632' distant.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; atilt, rising 2" in a collar of stones

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The section corner is 4' SE from the centerline of FR2060-540. There are three Carsonite posts with PROPERTY BOUNDARY decals. These bear N, E and W, and are 21'8", 18'8" and 18'4" respectively from the corner. Several other sign posts are lying on the ground. Found five ponderosa pines with the usual array of metal signs, including old-style BEARING TREE shields.

Private property NW and SE from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land; see also USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 14 South, Range 9 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 12, 1966
