This grey granite memorial is dedicated to the all volunteer Spanish American War veterns who served from 1898 - 1902. It is located on the southeastern grounds of the Bourbon County Courthouse - 210 S. National Avenue. The memorial consists of a central tablet with two smaller flanking tablets which are devoid of any text. The central tablet reads:
