Cement, OK is a small rural town of about 490 residents. On Main Street, just south of 5th Street is a small grass area known as Peace Garden. At the sidewalk is a monument with a bronze plaque which reads:
Peace Garden
A tribute to the veterans of
World War I and II and dedicated
to the memory of those who
sacrificed their lives that
peace might be preserved.
Above this plaque is an additional bronze plaque which reads:
Honor Roll of all
Cement area men who died
while serving our country. The Honor Roll contains the names of nineteen of those lost.
