VAH KI Control Marker - Florence, AZ - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This marker is a gray metal disk embedded in a concrete collar on the west side of State Highway 79. On the National Geodetic Survey site it is listed as PID CZ1952. Across the top of the marker is stamped ARIZONA D.O.T. Below that Hwy. Div. and beneath that VAH-KI. At the center is a dot within a triangle. The date 1977 is stamped below the center. The last seven has been stamped over a six. At the bottom is P. & M. Geodetic Survey. There is a sign posted next to the marker but the text has been obliterated by the sun. The disk is approximately 85 feet west of the white line on the western edge of Hwy. 79 at an angle of 270 degrees.
