From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally N on N. Pine Street for 0.5 mile to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 5/8"x 30" driven rebar topped with a 1-1/4" yellow plastic cap marked "F. Ast-PLS 1938"; about 4" below grade

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The quarter corner is E, about 40' from the centerline of Pine Street. It is marked only with a 40" tall piece of wood lath. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed blazes and yellow BEARING TREE tags.


What property is this mark defining?:
Private property E from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land; see also Record of Survey CS11542, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office
