This bench is located adjacent to The Old Man of Mow, which is a 20 foot pillar of gritstone which was left standing after the stone around it had been quarried away. It is located beside the path of the Gritstone Trail almost at the summit of the hill in the village of Mow Cop.
The bench has a slatted brown seat and back.
The back of the bench is inscribed as follows;
