This is a small car road from Denmark to Germany. No other border gate is at the western side of this border gate (due to the sea).
Formerly you had to stop at the border, as the border gate was closed most of the times (due to its small size).
But on 25 March 2001 all border gates between Germany and Denmark were opened completely. No passports are inspected anymore when you cross the border. (

Now no police is required any more at the border and you can drive easily across to the other country.
