Facing Selby Street, on an unnamed corner, a half-block behind City Hall, this concrete block building was once the town jail. To preserve its history, the building has been painted a dusty mauve color, and on the west wall, the words: "Fletcher Jail Circa 1930". You gotta luv it!!

There is a single door on the west side. The windows have been bricked, but have been painted white with faux "bars", and a flower pot in the south window.

Fletcher is a town of about 1200 residents. In 1930 when this jail was in use, the population was 740.
