Shown on the mural is an antique horse drawn steam pumper that was used most likely in the late 1880s.

One can envision the dedication of the fire fighters of its time hitching the team of horses to the steam pumper, all loading on board to make their way down dirt roads, and if rainy the back-splash from horses and wheels flinging mud everywhere and even in their faces as they rush to save the old barn that is consumed in fire.

The mural is quite colorful and was completed in 1994. There were three high school students that assisted with the mural.
