The grain mill was established in 1710 by the Cistercian's abbey Heisterbach. It was at that time the most important mill building in the whole area. The mill existed for about 100 years and was called as "dilapidated" in 1809.

Today only a ruin is preserved. The mill ditch and wall leftovers with the passageway for the axis of the water wheel remained.
