The border between the US states of Louisiana and Mississippi is set as the center of the Mississippi River.
Blasterz crossed the LA/MS state borders on an elegant bridge carrying the I-20. The crossing point is surprisingly not as well marked as some river borders we have seen.
For purposes of a visit, we will accept any entering LA/leaving MS or entering MS/leaving LA signs along this stretch of the I-20.
There are no welcome facilities on the LA side, but the MS side has an excellent visitor center at Exit 1A, which provides beautiful views of both the Mississippi Rover and also Confederate and Union artillery positions on bluffs along the river used to pound one another during the US Civil War.
Type Of Crossing: State/Region
Where is the border located?: Interstate
Welcome Center/Facilities: Yes
