The zinc tombstone for little Leon Benedikt was originally interred in the first Jewish Cemetery in Dallas on South Akard Street, then exhumed and reinterred in Temple Emmanu-El Cemetery of Dallas in 1956

The small zinc tombstone at the grave of Leon Benedikt, who died in 1883 and was buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Downtown Dallas. In 1956 all the graves at the old Jewish Cemetery were reverently and respectfully exhumed and relocated to Temple Emmanu-El Cemetery in Dallas TX.

The tombstone reads as follows:
