In Hamburg's Mümmelmannsberg district, the largest sculpture yard in the Hansestadt has been in existence since 1982. One of the approximately 20 sculptures is the bronze "3 Figuren" (three figures). It was created by the sculptor and draftsman Edgar Augustin (1936 - 1996) and put on a granite base in 1982.
The sculpture shows the artistic change of the artist from a real figurative representation to an expression in which the space - that is, the location of the sculpture - is given predominant importance.
