This Victorian wall box can be found west of the centre of St.Andrews in Doubledykes Road on a wall on the north side of the street near its western end.

The box is stained towards the bottom but the manufacturers name can still be deciphered. The letters V and R are at the top with a crown between.

Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
Doubledykes Road is only a few hundred yards long and links the A915 City Road with the B939 Argyle Street, west of the centre of the town. The street is of leafy suburbia not far from St.Andrews Museum and the University.
