Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cowley, Wyoming is in the Lovell Wyoming Stake with Cowley 1st Ward and Cowley 2nd Ward both meeting at this location with Sacrament meets first.
This church property occupies the full block facing S. Main Street between S. Division Street and 1st Street East. There is the traditional white spire in front of the church near the entrance.
The church is multi colored brick and is quite large considering Cowley has a population of approximately 750 residents.
Interestingly, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has a rich history in the area, as they were some of the first homesteaders in the area and were instrumental in building the Sidon Canal. The canal provides irrigation to the once arid landscape from the waters of the Shoshone River. Cowley and Byron were two of the first communities they established in about 1900.
