This 10 Pound Parrott Rifle artillery is located at Newport News Park in Newport News, Virginia near the Discovery Center. The rifle is displayed with it's limber, which would carry the equipment required to operate the rifle. The limber was carried by a separate team of horses from the cannon.
This Parrott Rifle is similar to ones which would have stood here in April 1862 during the Battle of Dam Number One.
