History
The church of Montfuron dates from the thirteenth century. It is originally placed under the titulature of Notre-Dame. Since then, the parish church bears its name, associated with that of Notre-Dame. The church is under the patronage of Elzéar, and the parish feast is still celebrated in the nineteenth century on June 22, the anniversary of this event.

The church was partially rebuilt in 1829. It was consecrated on May 22 by the bishop of Digne, Bienvenu de Miollis.

It was restored at the end of the twentieth century.
