FR Ce panneau de bifurcation est assez classique. On les trouve sur les chemins de randonnées et ils nous indiquent :
  • le nom de l'endroit où l'on se trouve
  • les différentes destinations possibles
  • les distances vers ces destinations avec des temps estimés
  • l'altitude actuelle
  • les coordonnées GPS actuelles au dos (pour les plus récents et selon les secteurs)
Ce panneau est au centre du village de Saint Jurs
EN This bifurcation panel is quite classical. They are found on hiking trails and they tell us:
  • the name of the place where you are
  • the different possible destinations
  • distances to these destinations with estimated times
  • current altitude
  • the current GPS coordinates on the back (for newer and different sectors)

Difference between the post coordinates and your GPSr reading:
I do not know if there is a difference. My GPS gives me the coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes The sign gives the coordinates in UTM.

Reason for the coordinates: All the new hiking boards today give the UTM coordinates to find on the IGN maps
