This welcome sign is located on Route 2 (TransCanada Highway) southbound near the town of Saint André, NB.

Saint-André (2011 pop.: 819) is a rural community in Madawaska County, in northwestern New Brunswick, Canada. It results from the merger of the village of St. André and the parish of Saint-André in 2006.

Saint-André is located 62 kilometers south-east of Edmundston, in the county of Madawaska. The village is built on a plateau at the foot of the Appalachians but has a vast territory occupied mainly by farms. The St. John River flows to the south. The territory is actually located at the Canada-United States Border.

Saint-André is bordered by the parish of Saint-Léonard to the west, Drummond parish to the east and the town of Grand-Sault to the south. Beyond the river, to the south-west, is the American state of Maine; The town of Hamlin is located opposite.

Saint-André is generally considered to be part of Acadia.

The slogan on the sign refers to the fact that the region produce mainly patato.
