Veteran's Garden
Dedicated November 4, 2005 to remember, honour and celebrate our Canadian Veterans. May the memory of their achievements and sacrifices be kept alive.

From the website(https://www.london.ca/About-London/heritage/Pages/Memorial-Dedication-Ceremonies-.aspx):

On November 4, 2005, a garden in Victoria Park was dedicated to the Veterans. Located a few feet north of the Cenotaph at Dufferin Avenue and Wellington Road, the circular Veterans' Garden features poppy red flowers and foliage. Coniferous shrubs, placed at the gateways to the garden, represent centuries. The completing feature of the garden was the installation of a carillon and statue - a gift of the Dutch community - presented on September 22, 2006.
The Dutch community's memorial carillon is an expression of thanks to Canada and its Armed Forces for their immense role in the liberation of The Netherlands and Belgium, the carillon has 18 bronze bells suspended on a large stainless steel tower. A granite sculpture at the base depicts the locations of Canadian Forces cemeteries in The Netherlands and Belgium.
