Why : Because here is one of the largest aircraft engine maintenance pole in Belgium and Europe.
Pourquoi : Parce que ici se trouve un des plus grands pôle de maintenance de moteurs d'avions en Belgique et en Europe.
The Belgian Air Force acquired 45 Fouga Magister in the early 60s.
Until 1979, they were mainly used for pilot training (Air base Brustem).
Then they where dispersed in different bases and serve as liaison aircraft until 1988.
Return to Brustem within the 33 ° Esc until the dissolution (1996) and move to Beauvechain at 1°Wing in the «Flight Fouga».
It has definitively withdrawn on 27 September 2007.
La Force Aérienne Belge acquis 45 Fouga Magister au début des années 60.
Jusqu’en 1979, ils furent surtout utilisés pour la formation des pilote (Air base Brustem).
Là ils sont dispersés dans différentes bases et servent d'avions de liaison jusqu’en 1988.
De retour à Brustem au sein de la 33° Esc jusqu’à la dissolution (1996) et déménagement vers Beauvechain au 1°Wing au sein du « Flight Fouga ».
Il a définitivement été retiré le 27 septembre 2007.
