These two epitaphs are located on the retaining wall below the Arthur Fountain. Probably they were originally located in the garrision cemetery, which was removed for the new construction of the city library.

English: Johan Christian Schernhagen was born on October 20, 1692, and on June 6, 1719, he was married to the honorable and virtuous maiden Sophia Eliesabet Riebenstein, who was born on August 1, 1689.
