The road out to here is usually locked at the Linden Observatory, so an easy walk on bitumen is required to get here (and for the nearby Glossop Trig).

This is designated by Sydney Water as WS0384, and is behind 2 metre high 'cyclone fencing'. It is a large squat concrete reservoir, with a corrugated iron roof, and a Trig Point on top of it - TS10892, or TP5369, on GCA.
There are several hiking trails that radiate out from the end of the bitumen road, so it is not uncommon to find casual hikers out here if visiting on the weekend. [Or just locals walking their dog(s).]
The reservoir/Water Tower sits up on a hill just to the east of the Heritage listed Woodford Dam: (

"The Woodford Dam was the third of the water supply dams built as part of the development of the Blue Mountains Water Supply and one of a series of dams built by the Department of Railways for water supply to steam engines. It was designed by the NSW Department of Railways, with assistance from the Department of Public Works and is a rare example of a railway dam being adapted for local water supply during the design stage. The completion of the Woodford Dam was a significant step in the process of providing a reliable water supply for Lower Blue Mountains and surrounding areas."
