The City of Seattle's Port of Seattle manages this linear park. There's a large sign in the heart of the park that mentions the park as being rededicated to commemorate the Port's 100th anniversary from 1911 to 2011. The sign also reads that the park was originally dedicated on July 17, 1976 in memory of Howard M. Burke, General Manager of the Port of Seattle from 1953-1964.

Its website describes its features and offerings to visitors:
11 acre park
4,100 linear feet of shoreline
400 foot fishing pier
Tackle shop
Rose garden
Bike and pedestrian path
Exercise stations
View grain terminal operations
View of Elliott Bay
Picnic tables, benches and restrooms
Hours: dawn to dusk

The website doesn't mention two nice beach areas that have been re-landscaped to make them more environmentally healthy and to encourage animal life to co-exist here with humans.
