FR L'eau coule par deux canons de cuivre jaune sortant de la bouche de deux anges de bronze joufflus, dans un bassin rectangulaire aux angles coupés. Il servait d'abreuvoir surtout pour les chevaux, les moutons buvant l'eau des citernes, nombreuses dans cette région où l'eau est rare. C'est un bassin en pierre taillée, qu'une plaque de cuivre recouvrait encore au début du siècle, mais qui a aujourd'hui disparu, et que l'on peut apercevoir sur les vieilles cartes postales. Cette fontaine est la seule du village. Elle était alimentée par une source captée (Aiguebelle), mais en été son débit baissait fortement. Aussi, un grand réservoir occupe-t-il une partie de la place surélevée qui fait face à la fontaine, et dans lequel on pouvait puiser grâce à une pompe manuelle à levier.

Une plaque de marbre placée sur le bloc de distribution porte une inscription intéressante : «D.O.M. QUI EDUXIT AQUAM DE PETRA» Les initiales d.o.m., que l'on retrouve sur quelques monuments, et sur la fontaine de Reillanne, signifient habituellement "Deo Optimo Maximo" (A Dieu très bon, très grand, qui fit jaillir l'eau de la pierre), mais prennent ici une signification particulière, car elles correspondent aux initiales du maire de l'époque, qui s'appelait Désiré Onésime de Miravail, laissant ainsi une certaine ambiguïté sur la suite: «qui a tiré l'eau de la pierre»
EN The water flows through two yellow copper canons emerging from the mouths of two chubby bronze angels in a rectangular basin with cut corners. It served as a drinking trough especially for horses, sheep drinking water from the cisterns, many in this area where water is scarce. It is a hewn stone basin, which was still covered by a copper plate at the beginning of the century, but which has now disappeared, and which can be seen on the old postcards. This fountain is the only one in the village. It was fed by a captured source (Aiguebelle), but in summer its flow decreased sharply. Also, a large tank occupies part of the elevated place that faces the fountain, and in which one could draw by a manual lever pump.

A marble plaque placed on the distribution block bears an interesting inscription: "D.O.M. The initials dom, which are found on some monuments, and on the fountain of Reillanne, usually signify "Deo Optimo Maximo" (To God very good, very great, which caused the water of the Stone), but here take on a special significance because they correspond to the initials of the mayor of the time, which was called Désiré Onésime de Miravail, thus leaving a certain ambiguity on the following: "who drew water from the stone "
