Another green wooden bench on Turimetta Headland, but this one has TWO Dedication plaques on it, of brothers who enjoyed the sea.

The grooves on the green-painted, broad wooden slats of this bench are not as pronounced as another bench on the Bicentennial Coastal Walk over the Turimetta Headland.

The bench is bolted to a decent-sized concrete slab, and has two broad wooden slats for the back, and two similar wooden slats for the seat/bottom part. It has great views over the Pacific Ocean from the headland reserve. As at April 2016 it was painted a 'Forest Green'.

The bench is right in front of a set of wooden steps leading up to the top of the Turimetta Headland, where there is a Trig Point. Beside the stairs is sign with information of the Turimetta Headland Reserve, and the Bicentennial Coastal Walkway.

The left-hand plaque is of roughly 'polished' stainless steel, and the engraved wording is a bit hard to read if the light is from the wrong direction. It is for the younger brother, who pre-deceased his older brother. It is set into the upper board of the backrest, and held in place with four stainless steel screws. It reads:

"In Memory of our beloved son and brother to Andrew
Paul Ward Hyde
4 July 1971 - 7 September 1997
Paul you loved the sea
Rest in Peace"

The right-hand plaque is of brushed stainless steel, and with black printing in the engraving is easier to read. It is also set into the wood and held by four stainless steel screws. It reads:

"Andrew Ward Hyde
Beloved son of Val & Graham
Brother of Paul (Dec.)
19 April 1972 - 11 September 2006
Drowned in Surf
"With Paul, Rest in Peace""
