FR Le nom du hameau la Bégude désigne l’endroit où l’on abreuve les chevaux avant la montée d’une côte importante (dans ce cas, celle qui mène au sommet du plateau de Valensole), ou tout simplement, l’endroit où l’on s’arrête boire.
Cette fontaine, si elle n'est pas spectaculaire a quand même une grande importance dans le hameau puisqu'elle est à l'origine de son nom.
Un seul canon permet à l'eau de s'écouler sur le coté, vers un lavoir surmonté depuis peu par ce que l'on ne peut que supposer être une oeuvre d'art en pierre.
EN The name of the hamlet la Bégude refers to the place where the horses are watered before climbing an important coast (in this case, the one leading to the top of the Valensole plateau), or simply the place where the We stop drinking.
This fountain, though not spectacular, still has a great importance in the hamlet since it is at the origin of its name.
A single cannon allows the water to flow on the side, towards a lavoir recently surmounted by what one can only suppose to be a work of art in stone.
