American Legion Hughes-Pittinger Post #26 was first chartered December 29, 1919. The current Commander is Jerry Clark and Adjutant is Richard L. Miller. The Post Meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
The post is named for Private Guy W. Hughes died on injuries September 10, 1918 and Private William F. Pitttinger also died in action July 30, 1918.
This post also participated in the American Legions Riders, an association of motorcycle enthusiasts within the Legion and the first group was started in Garden City, Michigan in 1993.
American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded service members and scholarships.
