It is becoming more common these days to see barbecue joints in North Texas that give you the real Texas barbecue experience, as you order at the pit and have your food wrapped up for you before you find a place to sit or take it home with you. There is no plate barbecue available: You can see what they have just by looking into the pit, although there are menus overhead. For those who are doing take-out, they have a separate entrance with a menu where you can make your choices before going in to place your order.

They have an extensive menu, with all meats available by the pound or fraction thereof. You can choose from brisket (chopped/sliced), half a chicken, ham, turkey, sausage (regular and hot), beef and pork ribs, ribeye, and pork (pulled/chopped). A few of these are available as sandwiches, as are baked potatoes (loaded or plain). As with any good barbecue joint, arrive early to get the best stuff.

They have a nice selection of sides, and for those who like sauce on their barbecue, they have a sauce bar where you can pick from several different sauces to take home with you. Soft drinks and iced tea are available.
