The Bangalow Newsagency occupies what had been the Commonwealth Bank (built in 1931) until 1942 when the local branch closed. It was then leased to a newsagent, and a barber. "Although the building was sold in 1953 it has continued to trade as a newsagency." [Bangalow Historical Society]
As is typical of Australian newsagencies, this does not 'just' sell local and national newspapers, but a huge range of magazines and periodicals. There some paperbacks, and books on the history of the region. They have a full range of stationery and office supplies - even to Multi-function Printers. And, of course a range of lottery, lotto, and Scratchies - for those that are gambling inclined.
