"Wappen von Euskirchen
Wappenbeschreibung:
„In Rot ein goldenes schwebendes Stadttor (Burg) mit halbgezogenem Fallgatter und zwei Zinnenaufsatztürmen, beseitet von zwei Schildchen, vorne in Silber ein linksgewendeter doppelschwänziger goldbekrönter roter Löwe, hinten in Gold ein schwarzer Löwe.“

Wappenbegründung:
Der zweischwänzige rote Löwe mit goldener Krone in silbernem Feld ist das Wappen der Herzöge von Limburg und der Edelherren von Heinsberg-Falkenburg, der schwarze Löwe in goldenem Feld das Wappen der Herzöge von Jülich. Bis zum 650-jährigen Stadtjubiläum 1952 befanden sich rechts und links des (wachsenden) Stadttors mit Flankentürmen zwei zugewandte goldene Löwen, das Tor haltend."

Crest Reason:
The two-lobed red lion with a golden crown in a silver field is the coat of arms of the Dukes of Limburg and of the noblemen of Heinsberg-Falkenburg, the black lion in a golden field the coat-of-arms of the dukes of Julich. Up to the 650-year anniversary of the city in 1952, there were two golden lions on the right and left of the (growing) city gate with flanking towers, holding the gate. "
