For the seniors, it's a quick jaunt across the street and they are in Lavina's one and only park.
The centre is in a very appropriate building built of logs to resemble buildings many of the seniors may have been familiar with in earlier years; some may have even lived in a similar structure.
Beyond seniors' activities, the building holds funerals, birthday parties and similar functions and may be rented for private functions. Following is a quick description of the amenities provided at the centre.
Description:
Lavina Senior Center congregate and home delivered meals are served on Wednesday and you may stay to play cards. There is also a blood pressure screening the first Wednesday of each month. The center is used for funerals, fellowship luncheons and can be rented for birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. There is also some DME including wheelchairs, canes and a walker that are available for loan.
