The south portion of Woodland Veterans Park is an extensive memorial to Oklahoma veterans. This wall was a project in the making for eleven years.
The two-section wall is constructed of ten black granite panels, each six foot by six foot and weighing 3800 lbs. The wall is lit at night. It is engraved with all the Oklahoma veterans who gave their life in combat, since the Spanish-American War.
The conflicts shown are: Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn (Iraq) and Operation Inherent Resolve (Iraq).
