This memorial was designed purely as a WWI memorial and bears the following inscription:-
"TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THE/ MEN & BOYS OF THIS CONGREGATION/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918/ (Names)/ So they passed over and all the trumpets/ sounded for them on the other side" and three panels of names of WWI fallen.
Subsequently three further panels of names have been added with the names of those fallen in WWII - surprisingly dated 1939-1947. No extra dedication was added.
The lower panels in the pictures are the names of those fallen in WWII.
