Park County Fire Protection District #1 Station #1 is a fairly new building completed approximately in 1999. There is in front of the station an impressive Fire Fighters' memorial "The Volunteer" by artist James Marsico and a dedicated bench in memory of Teresa LeAnn Hetzel who passed away at the age of 10 years.
Station #1 is large in comparison to most local fire departments in the area and has six bays, a training and administration offices on the west side. There is an interesting old hose reel near the entrance to the office area.
