[DE] "Der Schweriner Dom St. Marien und St. Johannis ist eine Bischofskirche der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Norddeutschland in Schwerin. Er gehört zu den Hauptwerken der Backsteingotik. Mit der Marienkirche in Lübeck und der Nikolaikirche in Stralsund gehört er zu den frühesten Bauten dieser Architektur. Von den vergleichbaren Bauten seiner Zeit unterscheidet er sich besonders durch sein Querschiff. Den Bau anderer Kirchen beeinflusste er durch die originelle Gestaltung des Umgangschores. Er ist die einzige echte Kathedrale in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und das einzig verbliebene mittelalterliche Gebäude Schwerins."
