The original part of the two storey building is of stone and render built in 1896 for business man Edward Henry Fothergill shipping, insurance, customs and commission agent.
The ground floor has an open drive through entrance on the righthand side and front entrance door to the left. The first floor has arched timber sash windows with decorative stucco above and decorative skirts below.
