This Anchor is located in the Naval Museum at Nauticus in Norfolk, Virginia. The anchor was found in the Elizabeth River in 1993 by the USS Kittiwake (ASR 13). The 1800lb iron anchor has no identifying but dates back to the early 1800s.
The large size of the anchor identifies it as either a warship or large merchant ship.
