The J.R. Ricks Building was constructed in 1925. This is a two-story brick building on the Northeast corner of 7th and Grand. The facade facing Grand has two storefronts.
The portion at 200 E. Grand has a single recessed entry door flanked by large display windows. The west side of this storefront has a wall of glass bricks. The clerestory is covered with wood boards, and the entry has a wood canopy overhead.
The storefront at 202 E. Grand is not recessed and has a single entry flanked by display windows. This portion also has a wood canopy and covered clerestory. There are additional storefronts at the back of the building, facing 7th Street.
All window units on the second level are covered with wood boards. There are four units facing Grand and eleven units facing 7th. The roof is flat with stone coping, and there is a stepped parapet at the front. The stone date block is at the center of the upper wall and reads: "J.R. Ricks / 1925". A row of soldier bricks surround each window opening, with stone blocks at the upper corners. Beneath each window unit on both sides is a brick panel with stone corners.
The units facing Grand are occupied by two photography businesses.
