This Bell is located in the Nauticus Naval Museum located in Norfolk, Virginia. Launched in 1902 from Philadelphia and named for Esek Hopkins, Commander and Chief of the Continental Navy during the American Revolution.

The Hopkins had a long career with the Atlantic Fleet and even served in the Pacific Fleet for a short while. In World War I the Hopkins patrolled the Panama Canal and Bermuda. She was decommissioned 1919.
