The building at 100-102 E. Grand in downtown Tonkawa was once the home of IOOF Post No. 40. This is a two-story red brick building constructed in 1904. The building has two bays, with two storefronts. Both are covered by a flat canopy supported by tie rods. Above the canopy, the original clerestory has been covered with wood paneling.
The West storefront has a single aluminum and glass entry door, flanked by display windows with modernized stone kick plates. The entrance to the second level is at the right. This area is occupied as the local Tag Agency.
The East storefront has a single entry door with sidelights. The flanking display windows are only 40 inches high with stone half-walls beneath. The entrance to the second level is at the left of the storefront. This side is occupied by the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce.
The second floor windows facing Grand consist of four double-window units, with one-over-one panes. A tall arch above each set has been filled with wood paneling. Above these windows on the west portion, is a stone date block which reads: "1904 / I.O.O.F. No. 40" with the three links emblem. The roof is flat with stone coping, beneath which is a row of brick dentil work. At the center and on each end are brick pilasters topped with a stone ball.
